There are several Missouri Medicaid services that require tasks to be recorded for the shift to be valid to sync.
In some cases, the caregiver may not be able to record a task, or the task recorded needs to be overridden or corrected. Staff users can edit tasks by overriding or adding tasks to shifts for these Medicaid services by using Rosemark’s Task Override feature.
When viewing tasks for a Medicaid service that requires task recording, Rosemark displays an “Edit” button at the far right of the task. To add or override a task, click on the Edit button.

Note: Task Override is only available for specific tasks related to certain Missouri Medicaid service types. If a non-Medicaid task is on the care plan for the service, the “Edit” button will not be displayed.

Update the fields appropriately. Make sure to add a “Note” and check the attestation box, then click “OK” at the top right of the screen.
Note: The task is either completed (Yes) or Refused. Medicaid does not consider an answer of “No” as a valid response, and it will not be sent to the aggregator.
Additionally, although each individual task that is added or edited requires its own attestation, there is only one “note” that is being applied for all the edits made by that particular staff user, up until the shift syncs. This is why each subsequent edit by the same staff user will update the previous edits to display the same timestamp and the same note. The note should not refer to any particular task, but to the primary reason that the shift’s tasks are being edited.

If a staff user overrides a task, Rosemark will display the original recorded task by the caregiver in blue, as seen below. The override response will be displayed, along with the details of the staff user who did the override.

If a second staff user overrides the same task, only the original caregiver task recording and the most recent override will be displayed.

If a staff user adds a task rather than overriding a task, Rosemark will note that the task was “Added” rather than “Edited.”

Frequently asked question:
Q: Can I override tasks on a shift that has been synced to the aggregator (Sandata)?
A: Yes, including tasks that have already been overridden. Any tasks that are edited would include the new reason note. Any tasks that were previously overridden but not overridden this time would retain the previously overridden note.
